Polish for Everyday Life and Work. More Language Support Sessions with INTEURO Profession
More Polish language support sessions for foreign nationals have taken place at the INTEURO Centre in Kielce. The meetings within the INTEURO Profession project were led by Sylwia Bluszcz from the Europe–East Integration Association, the project’s lead organisation.
Asking a question, explaining your situation and understanding the answer – these skills are useful both at work and in everyday life. The language support sessions aimed to develop practical communication skills and build confidence in using Polish.
The meetings were part of the public task “INTEURO Profession – a programme for the vocational and social activation of foreign nationals”, led by the Europe–East Integration Association. Language support within the project is intended for people preparing to enter employment and those who are already working and want to communicate more freely in Polish.
More confidence in conversation
Learning Polish within the project is linked to participants’ needs in their social and working lives. The focus is on language they can use when talking to employers and colleagues or dealing with administrative matters.
The aims of language support include:
- developing fluency and conversation skills,
- expanding vocabulary needed in everyday life and at work,
- building confidence in using Polish,
- preparing participants to communicate independently about personal and work-related matters.
Language as a route to greater independence
Being able to describe your needs, ask for clarification or present your work experience helps you participate more actively in life in Poland. This is why language support sessions are an important part of INTEURO Profession’s work to support the vocational and social activation of foreign nationals.
The meetings took place at the INTEURO Centre at 78A Sienkiewicza Street in Kielce, which has been operating since 2019. Here, participants could receive support in developing their language skills.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the meetings!
