Workplace stress and burnout prevention. INTEURO Profession workshops begin

A series of workshops for foreign nationals participating in the INTEURO Profession project began on 16 October 2026. The first session combined a discussion of stress, work–life balance and burnout prevention with practical relaxation exercises.

On 16 October 2026, a series of “Psychological Support and Burnout Prevention Workshops” began, focusing on coping with stress at work and preventing occupational burnout. The first session combined theory with practical exercises and a discussion of everyday challenges in the workplace.

The workshops were organised as part of the public task “INTEURO Profession – a programme supporting the employment and social participation of foreign nationals”, implemented by the Europe–East Integration Association. They were intended for project participants who are preparing to start work, are already employed or need support in adapting to a new working environment.

Stress in a new working environment

Working in a new country can bring additional stress. Language barriers, unfamiliar rules and joining a new team are challenges that can arise both when entering the labour market and when changing jobs. The session explored ways to cope with these difficulties and take care of one’s own needs.

Discussion and practical exercises

The workshops covered:

  • Sources of workplace stress – what causes tension and how to cope with it.
  • Supporting yourself in difficult situations – recognising your needs and finding ways to take care of yourself.
  • Work–life balance – finding time for work responsibilities, rest and personal life.
  • Burnout prevention – recognising signs of fatigue and responding to them.

The theory was complemented by simple exercises for relaxation and recovery. The practical format gave participants an opportunity to explore ways of managing tension that can be used in everyday situations.

A space to share experiences

The session also provided an opportunity to share experiences of working in a new country. The aim was to help participants better understand their needs, seek support and build confidence in the workplace. The discussion offered a space to recognise that others also face similar difficulties.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the first session!
