The “INTEURO Profession – a programme for the professional and social activation of foreigners” project provides practical support for people who want to navigate the Polish labour market more effectively, develop their skills, learn Polish and participate more actively in social life.

As part of the project, participants can benefit from counselling, vocational training, practical workshops, Polish language courses, conversation meetings and consultations on labour rights and opportunities to participate in social or workers’ organisations.

The activities are implemented as part of the public task entitled “INTEURO Profession – a programme for the professional and social activation of foreigners”, carried out under the Ministerial Activation Programme for Foreigners for 2026.

Activity 1: Preparation for employment and professional development

This part of the project is intended for people who are looking for work, want to change careers, acquire new skills or prepare more effectively for a conversation with an employer. Support begins with a consultation with a counsellor, who will help identify the participant’s experience, strengths, needs and possible development pathways.

Each participant may receive an individual support pathway, meaning a plan tailored to their situation, education, experience, knowledge of Polish, professional plans and employment opportunities.

“E-commerce Start” training

This option is intended for people who want to learn the fundamentals of working in online sales and digital services. Participants will learn how online sales, order processing, customer communication and offer creation work, as well as the fundamentals of online marketing.

The training may be particularly useful for young people, students, graduates and people who want to begin working in e-commerce, online customer service, digital marketing or sales support.

“Integrated career pathway: customer service and digital process support” training

This training is intended for people who want to prepare for work in customer service, administration, trade, digital services or e-commerce. The programme includes customer service by telephone, e-mail and messaging applications, maintaining documentation, organising office work and using digital tools.

This is a suitable pathway for people who want to acquire practical competencies required by many companies and institutions, including those who are only beginning to work in Poland or want to change careers.

Vocational workshops – tailoring

People interested in practical work will be able to participate in tailoring workshops. The activities include learning how to use sewing machines and the fundamentals of cutting, sewing, repairing and altering garments.

This support is intended for people who want to acquire specific skills useful in tailoring services, light manufacturing and clothing repairs, or who may consider providing small-scale services in the future.

Vocational workshops – maintenance of green areas and small-scale outdoor infrastructure

The project also includes practical workshops on green area maintenance, cleaning work, basic gardening, maintenance of simple elements of small-scale outdoor infrastructure and the use of tools.

This option is intended for people who feel comfortable performing practical, technical or outdoor work and want to acquire skills useful in municipal, gardening, cleaning or auxiliary services.

Work placements

Selected participants will have the opportunity to complete work placements. This provides an opportunity to gain initial experience in a workplace, test acquired skills in practice and prepare more effectively for contact with an employer.

Anti-stress workshops and “Work Culture”

Working in a new country may involve stress, uncertainty and cultural differences. For this reason, the project also includes workshops that help participants cope with stress, professional pressure and burnout.

The “Work Culture – functioning in the Polish workplace” training course will help participants better understand the principles of workplace communication, cultural differences, relationships with employers and colleagues, and everyday situations that may arise in a Polish company or institution.

Activity 2: Learning Polish

Knowledge of Polish helps at work, in public offices, at the doctor’s, at school, when speaking with an employer and in everyday life. For this reason, Polish language courses and conversation meetings are an important part of the project.

Classes will be adapted to the participants’ level. They will cover both everyday language and vocabulary needed at work, during job interviews and when communicating with customers, employers or institutions.

The objective of this part of the project is to increase independence. Better knowledge of Polish helps people find work more quickly, communicate more effectively with others and function more confidently in Poland.

Activity 3: Labour rights and social engagement

Employment is not only about professional skills. It is also important to know your rights, understand employment rules and be aware of the support available from social and workers’ organisations.

As part of the project, participants will be able to learn about non-governmental organisations, trade unions, industry organisations and other forms of association. This is important for people who want to protect their rights more effectively, meet other people, become socially active or develop their own initiatives.

This activity helps participants better understand how social and professional life functions in Poland. As a result, foreigners can not only receive support, but also actively contribute to the development of their local community.

Participation in the project is free of charge. You do not need to know immediately which training course or activity will be best for you. Simply contact the INTEURO team.

During the conversation, we will help determine whether you need career counselling, a Polish language course, training, practical workshops, consultations or another form of support.

The project is implemented by the Integration Europe – East Association in partnership with the University of the National Education Commission, Krakow – Institute of Law, Economics and Administration, the LEX Generalis Foundation, the Hope for the Family Association and MassInternet.
